Halloween Calendar

That put the Halloween in hell?
The ghosts and ghouls that roam our streets each night in search of Halloween candy has its roots in something much darker and deeper than, fortunately, most of our holidays currently recognized. In fact, the event these days is, for the most part, treated as a social excuse to do together and celebration with friends and family. There are, however, that the use Halloween as an opportunity to publicize its darker side and this, unfortunately, given what has usually been after a "fun" bad year.
Origins
So we really put the 'hell' on Halloween (All Hallows Eve, or as is known in some parts of the world)? It's true origins and definition comes Celtic festival 'Samhain', identified by JC Cooper, author of the Dictionary of Festivals (1996) as:
"Samhain or Samhuinn: (Celtic). Oct. 31, the eve of November 1 was the beginning of the year Celtic, the beginning of the lean season of cold and darkness. "
Associations with death
So we know that last Halloween is firmly connected with the end of Celtic years and has its roots in Ireland. The end of the annual cycle was associated with death and death and the Celts believed that death appeared more human at this time year than any other. Many historians believe that the same night he feared above all in the Celtic calendar and one aspect was even carried by the Grim Reaper himself (his original name of Samana the Lord of Death, the dark Aryan god and leader of the ancestral spirits).
Links to Satan and witchcraft
Links to Satan, however, did not arise until the 17th century assumptions of witchcraft through pacts with the devil, as a basis for their rituals associated with the lack of holiness (a definition based on Christianity) on the date. It was then the Celts themselves with their sad end of the year honor, or was the later inclusion of Satan instills witchcraft rites that have evolved in the legend psychological framework of a hellish Halloween? Certainly the Celtic belief surrounding the keeping of animals has a role to play in the notion of "black cat" which contains the soul of a magical spirit who worked with witches to buy their bad intentions. In fact, the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) in recent years it has become increasingly aware of the threat against these creatures in this time of year and wisely launched a campaign against the adoption of black cats in the days immediately before and after Halloween.
The impact of Hollywood
Movie studios have also played a huge role to play in our perception of the darker side of the event. Moreover, the symbolism of provocation Halloween is fully exploited by them within the image based on today's society, and perhaps because of this, there has been a morphing between our symbols of death and hell.
Separating fact from fiction
On this day of enlightened knowledge about the myths and legends industry around Halloween and horror, we all like to believe that we have the ability to separate fact from fiction and maturity to use the "commercial elements "of this event in a positive way to promote coexistence and emotional rebirth rather than death and fear associated with Samhain. While this is true in most cases, it appears that the evil in one form or another is still prevalent, but unfortunately not limited to the operation of a particular event. The side dark of the human mind is, apparently, the real creator of the 'hell' on Halloween.

Goth or not. Yes I like that style but I’ve found even some modern stuff that actually gives a better view of what in the past was hard to read, I’m looking for that link I had a nice website in my bookmark on that will post it later
